Today marks the conclusion of President Anura Kumara Disanayake’s four-day state visit to China. As part of the final day’s engagements (17), the President is scheduled to visit several Electronics Manufacturing industries in the Chengdu region of China.
Following this, the President is expected to tour a model village showcasing effective poverty eradication strategies.
President Anura Kumara Disanayake is scheduled to meet Wang Xiaohui, the Secretary of the Communist Party of China for Sichuan Province, this afternoon. Additionally, the President is set to visit the National Centre for Science, Technology and Agriculture later in the day.
Joining the President on these visits are Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath and Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, Bimal Rathnayake.
