Students from Weera Colonel Niyomal Palipana Vidyalaya Ibbagamuwa and Thawalla Dhammaloka Maha Vidyalaya Kuliyapitiya Visit the Presidential Secretariat

Students from Weera Colonel Niyomal Palipana Vidyalaya Ibbagamuwa and Thawalla Dhammaloka Maha Vidyalaya Kuliyapitiya had the opportunity today (01) to take part in the ‘Vision’ programme organized by the Presidential Secretariat for schoolchildren.

This programme is conducted jointly by the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of Education and the Department of Communication of the Parliament to provide students with a broader understanding of the workings of government.

Senior Additional Secretary to the President, K.N.M. Kumarasinghe, delivered an insightful lecture on the role of the Executive and the importance of the rule of law. In line with the programme’s environmental education goals, valuable plant saplings were symbolically gifted to the participating schools to highlight the importance of environmental conservation.

Also present at the occasion were Assistant Director of the Tri-Forces Coordination Unit of the Presidential Secretariat, Major Nadika Dangolla, Principal of Weera Colonel Niyomal Palipana Vidyalaya Ibbagamuwa, H.M.A.W.B. Thittawella and Principal of Thawalla Dhammaloka Maha Vidyalaya Kuliyapitiya, W.P.I. Lakmal along with teachers and other officials.

Mission
