In honour of this occasion, a flag day was organized, and during the event, Dr. Shanti Wilson, the President of the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association, Rukshani Aziz, the Communications Commissioner, and Wasantha Sarojani Hemasinghe, a leader of the Girl Guides division for differently-abled children, presented the flag to the President.

This event was attended by a group of girl guides from the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association.
